"The graduation rate and the change in the 18-to-25-year-old group is something that we have looked at. We do have a concern about that. It’s not a surprise because we’ve seen this develop. We have more of that group that are involved in GED programs and night school programs. I’m not so sure that that group won’t eventually get some graduation equivalent degree, a type of certification. What we’re trying to do to guard against that situation continuing is to make sure that we provide not only the regular school program, but at IPS we have developed 21 alternative option programs so that even if a child has a problem at being successful in the regular school program, we have another program to catch that child."
