FOR BUSINESSES

IPIC's mission is "to develop strategy that establishes and directs a results-oriented workforce development and business service system for Marion County".  Because this mission statement drives what we do on a daily basis, IPIC has contracted with service providers to ensure knowledgeable staff deliver workforce development services which meet the needs of businesses within Marion County.

IPIC is responsible for the daily operations of the three WorkOne locations which provides core, intensive and training services to youth, adults and dislocated workers.  Additionally, we ensure services to businesses through our network of WorkOne centers. Whether it's customized training to meet an employer's needs or recruitment bootcamp initiatives which will provide specific skills assessments and teambuilding exercises, IPIC and its service providers are there to assist with the development and retention of an employers workforce.

How do we do it?  Through customized partnerships, IPIC has trained workers for specific companies and industries with additional focus on helping individuals attain soft skills along with their occupational skills. Our partnership with Indianapolis Economic Development, Inc. provides us the opportunity to undertake special projects which fill arid pipelines with a flow of new workers that allow companies to grow and ultimately strengthens the vitality of Indianapolis.

But for all we've already accomplished, we like to think that we've only scratched the surface in terms of IPIC's potential partnerships with Central Indiana employers. And we're excited about the possibilities.
